About
Dear viewers, My name is Shay Atzmon, I have a Bachelor degree in physical education, specializing in sport with physical disabilities and a Master degree in Business Administration. For the past 20 years, I’ve been working with Parkinson patients, in gyms, in therapeutic pools and especially at their homes, knowing that Physical activity on a regular basis can slow down the deterioration of the symptoms and maximize the positive effects of medication. In addition, it is proven that physical activity improves the patients' mobility, balance, flexibility, and strength.
In this video with Shay we will see leg strengthening exercises that are done on a daily basis with his Parkinson's trainees.
Leg strength is directly linked to mobility. Stronger leg muscles make it easier for Parkinson's patients to walk, stand up from a seated position, and move around independently. This can significantly enhance their quality of life and daily functioning.

Strengthening the upper body, back, and shoulders is important for Parkinson's patients to counteract the posture changes and muscle weaknesses that can occur due to the disease.
